Upper Dolpo Trekking is an adventurous journey in one of the remotest and the untouched part in the Nepal. It is located in the far western region, which is also known as the hidden paradise of Nepal. This trekking leads the trekkers to the herbal land, unique and traditional Buddhists’ villages and civilizations. The trekking trail is not trafficked and it is frequently ascending and descending trail during the trekking trip, which is a memorable trip in Nepal. Upper Dolpo Trekking includes several high passes, flora and fauna and Buddhists’ cultural civilizations.

The trekking of Upper Dolpo goes through the Shey Phoksundo National Park. It is a protected and restricted region, which needs a special trekking permit to explore this region. It is a homeland for various endangered flora and fauna. The multiple species of the flora in this region include Rhododendron, Salix, juniper, meadows, blue pine, spruce, hemlock, bamboos are and others. Various wild animals found in this region are the snow leopard, musk deer, and blue sheep, Ghoral, Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Black Bear, 29 butterfly species and 200 species of birds. It is a long day trip and challenging at the same time, which is suitable for the extreme adventure lovers. Beginning from the Juphal airport of Dolpa, the trekking crosses several ethnic villages, high passes and other sceneries as Ringmogaon, Chookalapuk, Phoksundo Lake, Nagdalo La, Shey Gompa and others.
